Locations become classrooms. Filmmaking becomes workforce development.
We use film as a platform for workforce development and mentorship. Our initiatives emphasize community engagement, career alignment, and economic impact.
The set is our classroom
Mentorship is our method
Workforce development is the outcome
Economic impact is our goal

NFI is led by Nathan Else, a lifelong Omaha creative and advocate for the arts. Born and raised in Omaha, he attended Lothrop Elementary, Clifton Hill, and Central, where he developed his passion for the arts. He then earned his graphic design education in Iowa City.
With 25 years of marriage and three children raised in Omaha, he understands this community deeply and is committed to creating opportunities for young filmmakers to learn, work, and stay in Nebraska.
Each film is created through mentorship, collaboration, and the belief that experience is a powerful teacher.
